The wood burnt pieces are some of my most recent wook. I look at the character of the wood and work with the shapes that is already ingrained in them. I enjoy the process of wood burning because as you burnt / carve you smell the wood, which I find soothing. The finished product is also very delighting to see because the of detail that can be put into the wood pieces.

The Veil Series was made in 2012 in Baltimore, MD. In this series there are 3 large sculptures made of plexi glass, scavenged factory wood, and aluminum L bars. Also in this series are photographs that were originally printed on 2 feet x 3feet paper, and installed on the wall behind the 5 foot x 2 foot plexi sculptures. The room they were installed in is dark, the only light is a small LED behind the base of the sculptures, when a light is cast on the sculptures the scratches on the plexiglass is become crisp illuminated renderings. Without a spotlight on the plexi glass pieces the scratches are invisible.
Special Thanks to Ken and Julie Girardini for the photos.

I began making these cards over a decade ago, they are still one of my favorite pieces to make and send. The cards have been distributed internationally and stories have been told of strange coincidences where cards wind up all over the country. The cards are very personal, I create these prints with a particular person in mind while taking into account an animal of interest to them.
